Returns & Refund Policy

Effective Date: 16 July 2026

At Natures Kitchen, we are committed to supplying fresh, premium-quality New Zealand meat products. Due to the perishable nature of our products, all purchases are subject to the following Returns & Refund Policy.

1. Perishable Goods

All products sold by Natures Kitchen are fresh, chilled food products and are classified as perishable goods.

For food safety reasons, we do not accept returns simply because you have changed your mind or no longer require the product.

2. Faulty or Defective Products

If you believe your product is faulty, spoiled, contaminated, damaged, or not of acceptable quality, please contact us within 7 days of collection or purchase.

Where possible, please provide:

  • Your order number
  • Your full name
  • Photographs of the product
  • A description of the issue

We may request that the product be returned for inspection where practical.

3. Approved Returns

If Natures Kitchen determines that a product is faulty or does not meet acceptable quality standards under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, we will provide:

Store Credit equal to the purchase price of the affected product.

Store credit can be used towards any future purchase made through Natures Kitchen.

4. No Cash Refunds

Except where required by New Zealand law, Natures Kitchen does not provide cash refunds for faulty products.

Approved claims will be issued as store credit only.

5. Weight Variations

Natural variations in meat weights are not considered faults.

Where the actual product weighs less than estimated, any overpayment will be either:

  • Refunded in cash upon collection, or
  • Credited to your customer account for future purchases,

at the customer's choice.

6. Change of Mind

We do not accept returns or provide refunds or store credit for:

  • Change of mind
  • Incorrect product selection by the customer
  • Products ordered but no longer wanted
  • Failure to collect your order
  • Improper storage after collection
  • Products that have been frozen, cooked, altered, or partially consumed

7. Collection Responsibility

Ownership and responsibility for the product transfers to the customer upon collection.

Customers are responsible for transporting, refrigerating, freezing (if required), and storing products in accordance with safe food handling practices.

Natures Kitchen is not responsible for deterioration caused by improper storage after collection.

8. Consumer Guarantees Act

Nothing in this policy limits or excludes your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or any other applicable New Zealand consumer law.

Where required by law, Natures Kitchen will comply with all statutory consumer guarantees.
